This looks like a decent tablet. I've bought from this website before but not this tablet! Anyway the specs do look better than the one you posted above. The main thing being that it is dual core rather than the single core model which you posted which does significantly enhance the responsiveness. I honestly don't think that it is worth buying such a cheap tablet as the hardware is just not good enough and will continually frustrate you! I haven't had problems so far anyway with my purchase so it might be worth a shot!

Also this one doesn't look bad either and it comes with 1GB RAM which will make a hell of a lot of difference in user experience and it's still below the €100 mark!

    Anyway hope this helps you!!

Thanks for feedback, still think I will go with AMazon version, its for a 13 year old boy who will be using it for some small apps etc and life of product will be minimal I would think...if he gets a year out of it and still hasnt smashed it I will then think about an upgrade...just dont want to spend big money for it to be in bits in a couple of weeks.....:P

I got one of those for my 12yo from an Irish eBay seller. She says it's grand, and like you I didn't want to pay anymore due to it being lost/stood on.

I only got a months guarantee, so a year is great.

How is it going? is it ok for general browsing/apps etc?

I haven't used it myself, but daughter says it's slow but she's used to an iPad. She watches (endless) TV programs on it, so it can't be too bad. She plays Candy Crush and uses Facebook on it.

My only gripe is the charge doesn't last long at all. She just leaves it plugged in mostly now - which isn't ideal for a tablet, I know!

EDIT: Just asked her and she says it's not very good. Charge only lasts 10 mins and it freeze a lot. :-|

    What about something like this?
    http://www.currys.ie/Product/HP-Slate-7-7andquot-Tablet-8-GB-Silver/318661/7.18
bit of street cred :-) with the beats audio.

    or this?
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-7inch-Tablet/dp/B0080OY3H4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1372426877&sr=8-2&keywords=samsung+galaxy+tab+2

I got the Samsung recently for €162 through flubit + £3.50 for parcel motel. I had previously gotten one for my Mum and one for my 12 year old son last Christmas. They both still use them daily. Battery stays charged. Great for TV, eBooks, apps and with a 32GB micro sd it has more than enough storage space. I got a leather book style cover for Mums one and a silicone one for my sons, both from ebay.

Hmmm Im sensing that displaying my opinion on whether children should have that kind of tech would render me outnumbered so I'll take my leave. Happy talking!
