Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Balotelli and penalties...

Reina has come out and said he studied Balotelli's penalties and worked on a technique to save them. Looked at it again and it actually is a very good save, the ball wasn't in the corner but was nowhere near down the middle either. He had to wait until it was kicked as well which made things harder but his reactions were top drawer.

Replays showed he moved off his line before the ball was kicked and so technically it should have been retaken but that's only nitpicking as it happens nearly all of the time. Good save but I expect Balotelli to go on another run of scoring penalties again due to his composure and the fact that he tries to dribble in the box and win penalties (not by cheating though) in every game.

Paolo Bandini leads to that point in his Serie A blog - that Valero and Benitez met with Benitez to watch his penalties...

Shocking penalty he took tonight. Passed it down the middle after the keeper didn't dive.

He needs to mix things up. He should scrap the stutter run-up sometimes and take the odd Lampard-esque penalty just to keep the keepers guessing.

32 in a row but he has missed them before.
