So the daughter is becoming a teenager and wants her ears pierced.
She really wants it and it's not peer pressure so I am happy to bring her to get it done. So anyone got suggestions for a nice, clean, friendly place were the staff will talk her through it before hand and the after care afterwards.
If she is old enough to get them done she has to be old enough to manage the after care, is what I have been telling her.

As far as I know, any (or most) pharmacists or beauticians will do normal ear piercings, you wouldn't need to go to a piercing specialist unless she wants an unusual piercing?

They'll do them with a gun, which is bad. Guns can't be properly sterilised and cause excess trauma. They also can't hit the ideal spot on certain lobes, and the people using them know little or nothing about piercing.

Go to a proper studio, they'll all be more than happy to give your daughter the best experience possible

Assuming you're based in or around Dublin, I'll recommend you the respectable studios:

    Connected Ink (Crown Alley, Templebar)
Zulu Tattoo (Strand street, behind Jervis)
Wildcat Ink (Jervis street and St Stephen's Green SC)
    Snakebite (Middle Abbey street)

All of the above are very good, and I have had personal experience with them all.

Ah, fair enough. It's been a LONG time since I got my ear pierced, didn't realise things had changed that much. Info assimilated. :D

I don't want her ears done with a gun, and it will be her first experience of body modding so I want her to understand how things should be done properly.

    Thank you for the recommendations.

Can anyone give me info on Angels Tattoo's out in D15?

Paul in Angels Tattoo is brilliant, pierced my tongue for me and done my most recent tattoo.

Turns out Angel's is no longer doing piercings.
So we got them done while visiting friends in Mayo.
Stacy in Lucy 7 tattoos in Castlebar did them.
We are both very pleased with the placement and how they are healing.
