Easy Mail Merge?

I have a requirement in my job to constantly keep in contact with customers and prospects who I may have spoken to at some stage - to continue to nurture them with interesting content and information. Right now I'm doing this manually - looking through the long list and individually sending them emails. I need a more efficient way of doing this - but i still need an individual personalised emails.

In the past I've played around with mail merge software which is clunky. I’m hoping to find something better. I just want to be able to type up a short email with some links etc – select from a list of my contacts and have it send them each an email with “Dear Mike” etc etc

Does anyone do this and how do you do it? Or can anyone suggest a website/software that lets you do this easily?

sounds like you need a CRM. Base "contact manager" with SalesForce will do what you want and is really cheap (about €5/month).

Haha thanks I already use Salesforce but you'd be surprised how bad it is at doing mass emails - was hoping for a more new age easy solution!

Try Mailchimp. You can group contacts, do personalised emails etc. It's pretty cheap (or free if you have less than 2000 contacts).

I forgot I have outlook which I rarely use but does anyone do mail merges with Outlook, I think this may be easier?

loads of info out thee on how to use Outlook to mail merge. What version do you have?
