Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Driving from Dublin to Sligo with a 2 year old and a 1 year old. Want to stop off in Carrick on Shannon to stretch our legs and get some food.
Any recommendations that would be suitable for everyone ?

try esquires at first roundabout as u drive into carrick on Shannon or the landmark hotel as you drive through - both lovely food - very clean and child friendly..:)

stoped off in Carrick on shannon myself with 2 kids of the exact same age and found the landmark to be spot on.
Parking is handy and relatively quiet (no rush in getting kids out or too many cars to run them down) round the back in the car park.
For food, they did a "baby bowl" with spud and veggies and got it within a couple of minutes while the rest of us were thinking about what to order.
It can be busy but I supose everywhere is at lunch time, and I'd be suspicious of any place which wasnt busy at lunchtime!

Across the road is a jetty and a bit of a walk along the shannon so if you needed to stretch the legs of the 2 year old then that'd be a good idea so long as you are holding their hand!
