    Hi,

I need to start a pension. My employer does not contribute to the work one. So I'm on the internet searching different pension schemes etc. I wouldnt have much to be putting in but every little adds up I suppose. Some people have said not to bother with a pension scheme and to just set up a bank account and lodge money regularly into that? I'm not sure what to do?

I'm confused. What exactly is your question? What sort of scheme does your employer provide?

you need to talk to an independent financial adviser. Try an stay away from a bank as they are tied agent to the bank. A lot will depend on your age savings risk profile etc but seek good independent advice.
