Cities in motion 2 gives you Metro, Train and Tram options, and also Bus.

right thanks for those suggestions. cities in motions looks good. there is one called 'world of subways: london' by the way. it really is great. an exact simulation of the london underground, with life like graphics.

I've had "Trainz: Virtual railway" for years and it's great fun. You know they're serious when they spell it with a "Z"
