Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You will need to do your GID swap over & then sit your CCN, etc. exams. UK is very different to here & you will have to sit exams for each section of the industry individually, for example, if you wish to work on pipe work, that's an exam, etc. Every area of works is broken down into module exams.

I done mine with SGas Northern Ireland in Belfast. Good guys there. Be prepared for some serious head wrecking exams, they are tough & many.

    You will have to do: Part P, Part L, Part F, (domestic)CCN1, CENWAT1, HTR1, CPA1.

I'v missed some but your talking 2-3 weeks of papers that will make you cry like a baby and leave you with a very very very empty wallet, this will be repeated every 5 years.

If it is for working doing service work in Scotland with a certain company, don't bother!

AFAIK, you will also need a British or NI address if you wish to register with Gas Safe (unless they have changed it)

For some pre-course reading, on ventilation, tightness testing etc, join Vipergas and download the readage, and also the workbooks that are a great help in exam preparation

A certain company looking for service engineers & paying €2,000 per week to service gas boilers in Scotland.
It seems the grass is not greener over there, more of a brownish colour!
