Have put a good few more hours into this since and it's grown on me a bit, still find the combat slow and the bosses a bit samey but I'm enjoying exploring the dungeons and looking for the secrets. Nowhere near the level of any of the Souls games but providing a nice warm up for 3 in couple of weeks all the same.

The game had 2 types of roll depending on armor, a fat roll and a morbidly obese roll :D

Hah, yeah I think I'm on medium roll at the moment and it doesn't feel very quick at all! I'm glad I didn't go for an agility build as 90% of the weapons I've found are all strength weapons. I'd usually be a DEX build in the Souls games.

Now that Halo Wars is BC, I really wanna play it. Can pick it up second hand in CEX for €5.

Have there been any rumours or suggestions that it could be free at some point with GWG? I know its only a fiver at the end of the day but still :P

Is the wold among us any good, is it better than the walking dead season 1 because I thought TWD was very slow but I loved Life is Strange

I loved it. Better than walking dead imo.

Halo Wars 2 is to be released in the Autumn so I'd there is a good chance if it being free in a few months.

Have to say Dead Space has really opened my eyes to how much game development has slowed.

Released 8 years ago and the only differences really are some crisper textures and sharper corners.

There is definitely not the issue of playing 8 year old games than there would have going back even 2/3 years from 2008.

Anyway on the game... I had only played it once on release.
It's probably even more enjoyable this time around, seems longer than I remembered as well.

Hopefully we get the others as well, I played 2(who could forget the eye ball scene) but not three.

In my opinion its the definitive survival horror game. It's quite actually scary in parts unlike Resident Evil which was more comedy than anything else.
    I'm really enjoying Dead Space.

It's the perfect balance between creepy 'what's around the next corner' and insane battles where you're low on ammo and overrun by bad guys

The upgrade system is simple and intuitive, there's no BS 'crafting' and I love the system that basically shows you exactly where the next objective is.
Exploration is fine and all, but I got sick of Alien Isolation because I was spending most of my time looking for doors or vents to get to the next objective and that's not really that much fun.

Dead Space is one of my favorite games of all time, defo ten and I'm not even into survival horror. I replayed it almost as soon as I finished it first time cause I wanted the "One gun" badge. The plasma cutter, when fully upgraded, is an absolute beast.

I'm enjoying Sunset Overdrive, finding traversal a bit hard but overall very fun

Can't praise this game highly enough. Stick with it until you have the air dash unlocked, it makes traversing much easier!!

Bloody great game. First game I bought with the One last August and didn't regret it.

I'm enjoying traversal in Sunset Overdrive but having to push X to change direction while grinding keeps throwing me off.
Fighting the big guy and he throws something, I flick the stick but keep going in the same direction and get walloped in the face.

Not sure I'm going to like any protection missions either.
Oh well, see how it goes.

The main campaign missions start off standard enough but are brilliant later on, With plenty moments ranging from laugh out loud funny to just down right cool.

Resident Evil 4 is probably one of the best, with Dead Space borrowing liberally from the game.
But Silent Hill 2 represents the pinnacle of the genre for me, a magnificent title, adapting to the consoles limits and making it part of the setting

This was particularly bad though !
    Tried it 3/4 times
Just couldn't deal with the grinding around in circles

Best escort mission ever with the dog, it's the only escort mission I've ever played I wish lasted longer, hope there's another late on in the game:D

Also travelling the map is getting a lot easier, besides wall running I still don't know how to do that, it reminds me a lot of Ratchet and Clank (which insomniac made aswell) especially when you use the wrench

It's free with Games With Gold, so yes.

But no, it's a terrible game.

It has high ratings across the board. I had to pull myself to finish it at the time but I did enjoy it. I don't think it's too big if a download.
