Because I'm generally rather cranky, argumentative, and some would just say a narky pr1ck.

I know many that enjoyed the Connemarathon. Its just not for me. I want to finish a marathon and either (a) fall into a car to go home or (b) fall into a hotel room. I don't want to be miles from nowhere waiting on a bus. Also if I want solitude on a long run to reflect on the implications of the number 42, I'll go at midnight around the phoenix park. As I said I'm a cranky pr1ck and its just me.

Ah, grand. They're all valid reasons to be fair.

Plenty of jackeens around too. Just as well, we needed someone to keep the chippers running for us. Me and the cousins do get hungry.

If you are available (and allowed) you are more than welcome to join us

Don't do it lads, it's awful.

Not only do you have to don the canary yellow, you feel obliged to have to run with him and listen to his comments on everyone's running gait at the start and then his dry heaves towards the end. He then negotiates a jog in towards the finish and then belts off into a loping canter when you turn your eyes to high five the family.

    One to avoid

    Which one would I prefer?

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,583 ✭✭✭✭tunney

Been thinking about goals a bit and I'm leaning very heavily in favour of Raycuns.

Some 5kms, 5 milers and 10ks. Still keep the bike going with two turbos a week and swim once a week. Then could drop into the odd sprint (non NS) during the summer.

    Cheers all.

I haven't done both but CW has so he might be able to compare. I know Craughwell is a very good race and well organised. It's a nice course too on quiet country roads. I enjoyed it the year I ran it. By all accounts Kinvara is very good also.
