Cannot modifty cars in GT5

Well, I cant modity the EG6 on gt5 im new and wondering why i cant.Have bought the rx7 asweell cannot modifty dat as well!Any help,Thanks :D Oh cannot add body kits,rims spoilers etc that sorta stuff says cannot modify stock cars... who dosent modify a civic spoiler etc :P

In GT5 there are only like 10 or 12 cars which can be race modified.
