Items to consider for childrens playarea

Just wondering what quality items would you consider for a childrens play area.

I don't want to overcrowd the garden with stuff but really only good quality stuff that children will use

We invested ina good quallity slide and swing combo with a little playhouse & sandbox at bottom.

What else would be worthwhile items to buy. We have a large gardne but as say don't want to overcrowd with things just good things that children will play with.

Sounds great, why get any more for the moment. It will not be long before they are that bit bigger and will need different things. One possibility would be a dug corner for planting nastertion, sunflower and radish seeds (all easy to grow and harmless).

Don't forget to cover your sandpit to prevent it being used by local cats and dogs. Such additions can be very dangerous to kids.

Dont forget a raised bed or two. Carrots and spuds are great surprises for kids when they pull them.
