Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Small annoying dents and light scratches

    Hello everyone!

New this side of boards. Just got myself a 06 VW golf about a month ago. But the more I have looked at it and the little bit dustier she gets - I've noticed a serious of little dents and light scratches on the roof and one on the bonnet. They're not deep scratches - the dents are the most annoying to the appearance. It looks as if somebody as look a heel or football boot to it.

There's also a little bit of rusting on the body work near one of the tyres that looks like if its not treated, it could get a little worst.

I'm bit of a neat freak when it comes to my cars and I like to keep the body work looking as fresh as I can - just wondering do you think it would cost much to get these sorted? and if you think they can be sorted? Particularly as I've heard the bonnet can be tricky.

I can upload photos if you like when I get home.

    Thanks :)

Get a picture - close up

I hope these attached properly and they are clear enough.

Here is the area near the wheel NearWheel.jpg

Here is the bumper scratches. Kind of hard to see - but there are dents there too withe these. Bumper dip scratch.jpg

The roof - I couldn't get a good picture - and the one I did have will not upload so the only way I could describe it, would be: Its like as if the roof could do with a bit of an ironing out. I googled some examples to give you a better idea: dent2.jpg
    and this one DSC04318.jpg

There's about 4/5 dents like the above in my roof with light scratches.

People would say I'm being fussy but I like to look after what I have and I like to have a bit pride in it.

    Thanks

the bumper scratches look light and repaiarable

the wheel arch look like the paint has peeled away

Ok thanks a million. Would the wheel arch be a big job do you think? Would you say all in all that all off the above is fairly repairable?

the bumper look light very light clear coat scratches which will polish flat/out

the wheel arch look like a repaint or touch up job, depending on budget and you

dent i know nothing about but IMO they are on the roof whick should be easy to access.
