Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi All,
Looking at installing a new heating system in house.
So far have decided on a Grant Vortex boiler and a Henley Achill Boiler stove.
was thinking of having 3 heating zones, upstairs rads, downstairs rads and water. Was also thinking of fitting programmable TRV's like the Terrier i-temp to all the rads so I can control temp in each room.
Is this a wise idea? Was wondering is is bad for the boiler if most of the rads have shut down and only 1 or 2 rads are looking for heat.
What about with the stove? If all the rooms have come to temperature and the TRV's have shut off, what happens to the hot water?
Thanks for any advice in advance.
    P

You can't install TRV's with solid fuel heating. Recipe for disaster.
