Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Simple DOE/NCT question

I'm thinking of buying one of those Ford Focus Zetec vans, for private use. The dealer I was talking to was talking to me about various aspects of DOE testing for it. Shortly after, I was getting some advice from a mechanic about these types of vans and he said that if I declare it for personal use I can do an NCT instead of a DOE, which the dealer refuted. I've never had a commercial before and like I said, I wouldn't be using this commercially. Could someone clear this up for me?

Whether vehicle is liable for NCT or DOE depends on vehicle type.
If it's goods vehicle then it is liable for DOE. If it's passenger vehicle (afair up to 9 people) it's liable for NCT.

Type of motortax you have on it is completely irrelevant.
