Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help me here.

I'm moving out of my apartment in a months time and recently got a letter from An Post asking me to pay for a TV licence. I'm a little reluctant to pay this I'll be moving out, and not 100% sure yet if my flatmate will be moving with me (I don't want to end up paying €160 on my own). Is there any point in paying this now?

If you're moving, then you can have the license transferred to the new property -

I'm not sure if I'll be living with someone who's already paid for a TV licence though? (I've no problem paying half of it, but don;t want to pay twice). Would I be better off waiting until I find a place?

Just get rid of your TV until you move then you won't need a licence....
