    Hi,

Just wondering what deals you have in store for 32" TVs?

Is 1080p needed at this screen size or when does its need start to exist?

Also, any 37" options in stock and what are their price?

    Thanks

    PM,

thanks for the post and the opportunity to quote - we have lots of deals on 32 at the moment - at lots of different price levels!

At the budget end we have the LG 32CS460 LCD HD Ready at just £199.95 / €239.99 http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/lg/32cs460/lg-32cs460

however probably better quality is available on the Toshiba 32W1333 which is an LED this time and again just £199.95 / €239.99 with 2 HDMI and 2 USB inputs - its a slightly later set than the LG and the picture quality is better and it also looks a bit sharper.
    http://www.toshiba.eu/television/led/w1/32w1333/

Moving up a little the LG 32LN540U is a great TV at just £279.95 / €319.99 - again LED with 2 HDMI and USB input - but this time the 540U 100Hz Mci motion processing  and to be honest you can see the difference over the 32CS460 on sports and fast moving/panning content..
    http://www.lg.com/uk/tvs/lg-32LN540U

Next up would be the Sony KDL32R423 - we are down to our last demo one's of these so I would clear it at £299.95 ( it's only been out for less than 2 weeks so is as new!
     http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/sony/bravia-kdl32r423a/sony-kdl32r423abu

Moving into Full HD the LG 32LN540 V is 1080P Full HD AND has a free to air satellite built in as well! its £319.95 / €389.99 http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/lg/32ln540v/lg-32ln540v

Without going too loopy - our Current Fave 32" and most popular is the Panasonic TXL32E6 - it's a cracking new TV from those very nice people at Panasonic - its £398.95 / €469.99 and it is a really well built and superbly featured TV - with Full HD 1080P, Smart features, built in Wi-Fi - Full Web Browser, 3 HDMI inputs and Panasonic's 100Hz version of motion processing - its just an amazing TV for the money!
http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/panasonic/viera-txl32e6b/pana-txl32e6b (and it comes with a 5 year warranty at the moment!)

On the 37" - this screen size is really disappearing this season but we do have a few of the Panasonic TXL37ET5's that we can do at £499.95 / €599.99 http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/panasonic/viera-txl37et5b/pana-txl37et5b

Sorry for being so long winded and keep us posted if we can assist in any way,

    Hi Monkey.

Unfortunately that one has finished some time ago now. Its listed as LAST FEW to clear as some other store may have ex demo units or ex repair ones but you would need to go to that store to pick it up as we do not ship LAST ONES from the website.

Might there be another screen that suits your needs?

    Hi John,

The LG 32LN540 V does not have Freesat built-in according to the spec.  Do you have any with Freesat HD built in as it might save me having to purchase a second STB?

I've checked the stand where I'm putting the TV and it looks like the 32" will be the biggest I can comfotably fit into position.

We only get Freeview Lite in our region so I'm opting for an all satellite input feed - Freesat and Saorsat.

Also, I assume that TV's don't come with HDMI cables but any STB will have one packed with it?

The Samsung, LG and Panasonic are interesting to me - esp the LG as I bought a 26LV250U fom you about 1 year ago, so it would be nice to keep the same brand if the quality was as good as the other two.

    Thanks.

Hi Funkey, cheers for the reply.

The 32" LG LN540V is setup and running on the shop floor.

We can put HD signal and normal freeview signal through it if you would like to see both.

Hope this helps but keep us posted if we can help any further.

Just in relation to the LG and satellite. The TV does have a sateliite input but due to the tie-in with LG and Sky they do not advertise the fact that the TV has freesat. It technically doesn't have "freesat" but it can receive freesat channels from the Astra 2 satellite.

What I can't guarantee is that it will pick up Saorsat and the satellite for Saorvsat is different so the dish would need to be pointed at that satellite.

Panasonic and Samsung don't have Satellite models at present that we stock in a 32".

There are no HDMI cables with the TV so any extra would need to be supplied but a basic one usually comes with an STB depending on make and model.

    Many thanks

Hi - thanks I've just reserved the LG.  I was speaking to one of the staff about HDMI cables in stock and was wondering if you had any with slim heads, similar to the following one:

    http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10255&cs_id=1025503&p_id=9427&seq=1&format=2

You can get them in UK via internet sites, but was wondering if they are something that you would normally stock?

Hi Funkey, I have checked around a few suppliers and I can't seem to source anything like these as there is no distributor that we deal with who stocks these particular cables.

Sorry but it looks like we can't get these.

We do have others but when you were in, I showed you a few and I think you thought they would not fit.

Keep us posted if we can help with anything else and we'll see you in the store soon.

    Funkey_Monkey,

It's not often that I'm stumped but as LG don't publish any info at all regarding the satellite tuner on the 32LN540V I can't tell you if it has diseqc switching - we have installed that model with a Satellite input and it works well - but these installs have always been with a single LNB setup -I'll see if the guys on the shop floor can check through the user menus and revert!

    Thanks again and chat soon,

Yep - checked and there are DiSEqC options no - problem - (actually quite an extensive satellite setup menu and a really impressive picture) - keep us posted if you need any further info..

    Hi,

Got the TV set up and I agree the picture is really really good.  The HD Sat tuner is also a nice piece of kit with great features.

One question – it’ll save me faffing about with the documentation – is there an easy way to re-order the EPG so that BBC1 HD is Ch. 1, BBC 2 HD is Ch. 2, etc?  I could not see anything obvious for this on screen in the EPG.  The installation of Freesat has scattered the channels and I'd like to reorder them into groups.

Is there an easy/straightforward way to do this - or is it the longwinded channel by channel method?

Once again thanks - great TV!

Unfortunately I don't think there is an easy way to do this - unfortunately reordering the Freesat channels does take time - but its worth it in the end - Brill TV and glad you are happy with it!

Thanks again for the Biz and as ever don't hesitate to drop us a line if we can ever assist,
