Alot of thunder/lightning in the Castlebar area around 7am this morning.

Heavy Thunder and Lightning the last few minutes here in Tramore, Co.Waterford, heavy hail storms and strong winds also. Looks to be calming down and starting up again atm.

Seems to be gone now, just passed over all of a sudden, wasn't as bad as this morning though! We might get more later, they are giving heavy rain and winds will keep an eye out

Thunder storm heading toward Galway area

Edit - No thunder but very very heavy sleet hopefully they might turn to snow soon showers are becoming heavy enough anyway

Not often we get sleet coming from the south west

It's been some night in Galway. I was woken up at 4:30 by torrential hail and an almighty clap of thunder, there was another later on and same thing again now at 8:30.
8:30 one had a few rumbles at least, one was very close right with the flash, the resulting thunder was unusual, one loud bang none of the usual rolling rumble.

Just had the brightest flash of lightning and loudest bang of thunder i've heard in many a year, followed by hail. (Ballybofey, Co Donegal) Just see neighbours house has lost a row of tiles, think it may have been hit.
