A well formed, but small, Cb has developed over the Dublin/Wicklow mountains. Can even see some mammatus from here.

Sparks maybe in the west Wickow area in the next half hour or so?

Myself and daughter sat watching this from north side of it for a while. Caught the mammatus on North Western edge. Phone died so no shots but was a beaut.

Nice area of convection heading north through leinster currently. :)

Perhaps the odd strike or 2 if a round 2 occurs later in the day.

I'm currently under one of those red blobs on met.ie radar and the lights are flickering a bit. No sign of any lightning on meteox though?

NICE funnel cloud spotted in Southampton earlier today around half 5.

Slight chance of some post frontal sporadic storms tomorrow afternoon in the Connaught and Munster.

Low end cape and lifted index values , but good for this time of year.
    294813.png

Cool uppers giving steep lapse rates. Some hail showers possible too.
    294814.png

Low end both speed and directional shear would rule out anything locally severe .

Some very black clouds to the SW of Castlebar at the moment. wouldn't be surprised to hear a rumble.
