    I wouldn't be surprised if thats it for the night. Those cells are weakening and I don't see a whole lot heading that way later.

    That would be the squall line moving in a north/north easterly direction. Just a bit of rain though.

    Think it produced a lot of rain in Athenry but nothing in Kiltullagh :D

    We've got lightning !

    Just about to post that. About a 10-15 second delay on the thunder, with winds blowing to the east. Hopefully she's rolling in

    South Kilkenny county

    I love how the second I saw the flash, I opened a new tab and raced to the weather forum :D

    Yep. Live in Kilkenny city too, had a few very bright flashes the last few mins. Can't see much as I live in town though.

    I am sure I heard thunder, watching the film on RTE so was not paying attention.

    Scattered heavy showers across the country tonight; with some thundery downpours. The highest risk areas include Donegal, western parts of Connacht and the south of Leinster during the early part of tonight. Parts of Leinster and Ulster seeing further heavy downpours later tonight, with some respite across southern and western areas as drier fresher conditions develop across these regions. Another close night for many areas with lows of 13 to 16 degrees Celsius. Some mist and fog forming locally with mostly light southerly breezes, however southeast winds will be stronger near eastern parts.
