The cells that crossed into Waterford and south Wexford weakened but then started intensifying further north soon after that.

The one right near Kilkenny City is still intensifying.

It seems to be intensifying as it goes over land looking at the radar anyway, am going out for a ramble to see if I can spot anything coming Kildare direction.

Upper exiting jet finally at play. This was supposed to be the forcing that triggered storms earlier today but better late than never.
Could be an interesting few hours for East/SouthEast

    Wow that's bright...Kilkenny

It's like someone flicked a switch. Watching everything dying a death all evening and then....bang.

Think you're near me - North Kildare, right? Eyes glued south eastwards but don't see anything yet. Still too far south.

Power out in several parts of Kilkenny city. Internet just went down for me too, even though I'm quite a bit away from it!

Cells popping up in the Irish Sea across from Rosslare.

Always the way Maq, I think we should see some cells pop up around Cork and intensify as they cross country.
Environment has probably become a little more sheared as the low wobbles. I much prefer low CAPE high shear situations.
