Think you're near me - North Kildare, right? Eyes glued south eastwards but don't see anything yet. Still too far south.

Yup N/W Kildare, near Prosperous, sky looking very dark over Mondello direction at the minute, feels really heavy outside, humidity at 82% temp 18c.

No fresh strikes from the Kilkenny cell but looks to be backbuilding with another cell popping up in Cork

Don't hold you'r breath, I'm at the very end of the county near oak Park in Carlow and I came in as there is a flash maybe every 5-7 mins. maybe later.

oh torrential rain in Naas all of a sudden!

Lightening & thunder just kicked off in Greystones now.

1 very faint clap in south kilkenny right there. Nothing else for the past 20 minutes or so.

I'm hoping something else will form south and come up through waterford and Kilkenny later on.

Chances of that happenening are slim to none though.

It's building behind that cell, a little more positivity please.

It sounded like fireworks going off in the street...has it moved northwards now?

First flash visible in North Kildare. I'd say over Wicklow somewhere - very far south of here.

Just had two strikes here at Whites Cross, north east of Cork City. Big time difference between the strike and the thunder though
