    You can see the Cork storm exploding and some smaller cells poping up around it now on satellite.

    Not much happening in waterford, few distant flashes now and again, all street lights went off a few mins ago and came back on, thunder earlier but none now just few distant flashes, really am hoping for more!

    The rain is so heavy here it sounds like hail on the conservatory roof, only a couple of flashes so far.

    Two flashes a lot closer to me in last 5 mins. Enough to make me close the window! ( Well wife made me close window)No sound of thunder and sky is semi clear and dead calm

    not a thing in athlone - the whole country either side of us getting a hammering and we got dead calm and feck all in the sky :)

    Some nice flashes in north cork for the past half an hour, rumbles are distant though.
    Very calm outside after all the wind and rain earlier.

    The big Cork storm had a new burst of energy there, on the Netweather radar the core is showing at around 80 mm/hr.

    The storm over Leinster looks like its pushing over Dublin City as we speak and well into the Irish Sea.

    Just listening to the ATC feed there. The last Aer-Lingus flight that landed in DUB reported to the tower that their radar was showing very strong returns but the actual rainfall levels were moderate and descent was very smooth vs. expectations from the radar.
