Not sure whats happening here in tramore co waterford right now but street lights keep going off as well as upc etc.. and house lights, no lightning yet though, not for a while now, scary about the lights though.

It's probably related to the big storm down in east Cork.

Looks like things will be winding down soon? Cork storm is starting to weaken a bit and I don't see anything else further south than the cell passing over Dublin city now.

Yep radar gone a big flat, still only few flashes here. Nothing for few minutes..

Not mentioning the torrential rain and flash just now!!

Will people with no location or so called humorous location tag please mention where youre at? Thanks

Mine too, went black for a whole second at one stage. No lightning around though, oddly enough.

Same here . The electricity tripped but it went straight back on.

Loudest thunder I ever heard in clonskeagh has set numerous alarms off. Actually thought it was a bomb

Nope its the fire department 4x4 as far as I'm aware. They're always going about inspecting things like the runway and responding to calls etc.

Recue helicopter is rescue 115 I think.

Can here the odd rumble of thunder over Clonee (Dublin 15)...

Sure I didn't even wanna sleep tonight :S

Last one flashed 3 times. Took around 15 secs for thunder and steadily moving north away from me here in D5

Must be getting distant from south Dublin now, seeing flashes but not hearing anything until well after that.

No more thunder or flashes in the last few minutes - just heavy rain. That's all for me - keep safe everyone :)

Loudest I have ever heard in Ireland. Flash about 3 seconds before.

I have to say that was a surprise ending to an otherwise bust of a day.

I'm glad so many of ye got to experience some of that. I've had a couple of storms here in Waterford this year so I'm not jealous. :p
