    The rain is becoming much more persistent in the city center area now, could be some commuting problems later if this keeps up.

    Shouldn't there be some sort of flood warning from someone - this could potentially lead to some type of commuter gridlock nightmare in 15-30 mins time, imho!

    This cell heading into Galway Bay just became active.
    Watching very closely for direction of travel...

    Looks too far west for me.

    Maybe heading straight for Tuam. That might mean something to someone.

    Jeeze, a very bright flash of lightning just now in the city center (did I hear sort of a 'click' at the time?!) quickly followed by some very loud thunder.

    The storm up near Letterkenny looks pretty intense. Very heay precip and about 30 strikes in the past 20 minutes.

    There are claps of thunder every couple of minutes in the city center at this stage. Rain is starting to pound down now again.
