Very heavy rainfall in Kilkenny about 90 minutes ago, lasting approximately ten minutes. Brilliant!

East coast really made the most out of the available energy there.

Some distant rumbles from the cell east of Kilcoole.

Just had a serious downpour pass over lough sheelin and overhead here, lots of near constant rumbling but only a handful of small sheet flashes. Some of the clouds today and yesterday are stunning.

    Ongoing thunder still-mad stuff altogether.
Took 14 mins of video there with pretty much constant thunder and lightning.
Not sure how to upload that file size, but it may wait as the power is gone here with a good while.

Sure try and upload to youtube and copy and paste the link here.

I counted eight or nine claps of thunder in Clondalkin between 15:15 and 16:00, or thereabouts. It has rained, but it's brightened up. Patches of blue sky now. I would have reported those sooner, but my internet was a bit dodgy. Back in business, though :)

I was told there were a few claps earlier too around Clondalkin around 11:30 or so, but I was in Deansgrange around then, and then in town. There was no trace of any thunder, but it did rain briefly in town around lunchtime. Otherwise, the weather was grand.

Sunshine in Clondalkin now. Just looking to the south, and it's quite cloudy. The sky doesn't look too dark, though.

Peak Instability is just leaving the East coast in around now but a stray cell might pop up before 18:00

I'm using the worlds worst phone,a windows phone called the nokia lumia.

It's going to get a belt of a sledge hammer shortly.
    It won't upload to youtube.
It won't talk sucessfully to anything via bluetooth,so I can't use another device to upload.

It appears to have skydrive,so I signed up to microsoft live and uploaded, and low and behold, having done this twice, logged in on the phone,no sign of it,it doesn't like that, its own yoke either.:mad:

Very intuitive microsoft, very intuitive..stick to what ye know...nothing.

Come back trusty android all is forgiven.
