Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I don't see any thunderstorms out of this other than the odd rumble.
    Mainly just very heavy rain.
Galway looks pretty dreadful mind for Ladies day and I wouldn't be overly surprised if the day's events get curtailed mid afternoon

Hardly a breath of wind in west Dublin. Calm before the storm?

There's a chance it could miss dublin altogether, might get rain but that will be about it looking at the current set up.

I know the West are in for the action that is already on sat and radar! But this is a widespread very moist, warm and very unstable airflow. So the rest of the country could get a few treats or surprises!

Well I'm hitting the road to Dublin soon, in the complete wrong direction to see anything interesting today. :pac: I'll be following things on the forum from the road and hopefully those looking for storms will get to see something today. It looks promising on satellite already I must say.

Lightning from the cells out at sea. The location of the strikes of the map are wrong because of the distance from the detector but the general direction is correct.

I'm going to Blur this evening, I'd usually love a thunderstorm but not today! What are the chances that Dublin will avoid it??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,215 ✭✭✭pad199207

Its very good! But distance is out of calibration! :)

Thunderstorms look very unlikely for the the east, there could still be heavy showers around but if we're lucky Dublin might not be too bad.

I wonder will there be any home brew thunder storms developing as the day goes on. Or are we hoping that the pre package storm way off the south west coast make landfall anywhere long the west coast later this afternoon or in the evening?
