It's starting to pick up a little in Clondalkin now. Just had two flashes in only a couple of minutes, followed by lengthy rumbles. But, there's a longish gap between the flashes and rumbles. It's still sunny as well, but the sky across the way looks quite dark.

Knocked the power off here for like 30 seconds. The first lightning strike was like an explosion!

My sister, who's in Naas, reckons it's heading this direction. The thunder is certainly getting louder, and she described it there as "insane." Just looking across the way to my south, there seems to be lighter skies, yet it's quite dark almost overhead.

Still thundering away here in Maynooth.

few unmerciful bangs of thunder here, jaze

Just had a large flash there. There's a very dark cloud just over the houses, but there's still a biggish gap between the flash and rumble.

I see all the dark skies that bypass here that go up over Nass/Dublin.

I've no idea why they always just miss here ?

Bit of a re-run of last Friday here in Dun Laoghaire, all the good stuff missing us to the north west thanks to the Mountains, dark over the City, clear blue skies out to sea

Not much happening at the moment in Swords Co. Dublin, a bit of wind and some fast moving clouds trying to make something happen.

I'd swear I saw a little funnel forming in Achill earlier, was there for a minute or two, then popped back up into the cloud.

It was like a nuclear strike. It lit up my office and its daytime! The thunder that followed shook the floor. Love it! But unfortunately its killed my communications. Phone and broadband are out. Not good for business.

Was in Maynooth for that last cell so pulled in to watch it for a while. Some beautiful mammatus at the back. Got a shot but not great with phone. Some great lightning and very heavy hail. There's another to the south now so hoping it mosies on up Kilcock-wards.

The thunder has started again here. It's obviously just what Naas are getting.
