Not sure what you're trying to do here, but you can't chop off the 2 prong plug, as I'm assuming it's a small transformer to give the 5 Volt output to charge the tablet.

Are the 2 pins round for Europe or flat like US plugs? If euro, then something like this could work, though depends on the design of your plug. However, that Maplin price is crazy, they can be bought for cheaper than that!

It sounds like you've cut into the DC cable! Don't connect that directly to the mains or you'll fry your tablet.

If it's a European 2 pin plug just get a European adaptor. You'll find them in most hardware shops.
If you've cut a transformer plug off the cable, you'll have to buy a new power adapter entirely.

Most of these devices use microUSB chargers. Just buy one with an equivalent mA (miliamp) rating.
It would need to be 2000mA or 2 amps

Something like this would be your best option for a plug-in adaptor type thing :

That basically gives you a standard continental socket on the back, including earth (although it's highly unlikely you've an earth on a tablet computer!)

That's the standard "Europlug" used for very small appliances in Europe (up to 2.5amps)

If your plug's bulkier than that, it's probably a transformer plug which cannot be cut off.
