Fantasy Band

These tend to be quite famous and popular questions asked. People are often asked "Who would you have on your fantasy football team" or any sporting team. But what about bands, i'm curious to see what type of line ups people have for bands. The members can be dead or alive, since it's fantasy.

For me I would go with
    Phil Anselmo - Lead Vocals
Zack Wylde - Lead Guitarist/Back up Vocals
    Cliff Burton - Bass Guitar
    Dave Lombardo - Drums

Basically a line up that consists of Pantera, Black Label Society, Metallica and Slayer members. I feel this line up works well. As for the genre, I guess it would be a combination of Heavy Metal, Thrash and Groove Metal.

As an alternative I would have
James Hetfield - Lead Vocals/Rhythm Guitar
    Slash - Lead Guitarist
    Flea - Bass Guitar
    Keith Moon - Drums

An alternative line up that consistent of members of Metallica's James Hetfield, Gun n' Roses/Velvet Revolver's Slash, Red Hot Chili Pepper's bassist Flea and The Who's Keith Moon. Their genre would be Hard Rock with an emphasis on other Rock sub genres.

Screw the conventional band format. I'd have:

    Damo Suzuki (Can) - vocals
Mike Patton (Faith No More and many others) - vocals
David Yow (Jesus Lizard and Scratch Acid) - vocals and general weirdness
Eye (Boredoms) - vocals, guitar fence and other instruments
Miles Davis - Trumpet and bandleader
Sun Ra - piano and organ
Bill Steer (Napalm Death and Carcass) - guitar
    Chuck Schuldiner (Death) - guitar
Sid Vicious (Sex Pistols) - bass (not plugged in though) and assaulting people
Bez (Happy Mondays) - doing what Bez does

I would then have 50 or more drummers playing in a circle in a ritualistic trance, with Brann Dailor (Mastodon) and Dale Crover (Melvins) leading them.

What would they sound like? I really would love to find out :D

My band of deceased musicians would be something like this

Keith Moon & Jimmy ''The Rev'' Sullivan - Drums
Dimebag Darrell - Rhythm & Lead Guitars
Jeff Hanneman - Lead & Rhythm Guitars
    Cliff Burton - Bass Guitar
Mitch Lucker & Ronnie James Dio - Vocals
