Ah feck no. Back in Ireland for a few weeks for work, but really got interested in aviation when all these planes flew over my house at a few hundred feet approaching TFS. I hate flying but have to do it. Enjoy reading this forum though.

Welcome to Aviation and Aircraft guys, to some of the newer posters here :)

I'm still trying to find my feet here, fairly new here but aircraft, airlines, airports etc. has become a hobby now.
Why is there always cheering / clapping by pax when landing ?

I thought that was mostly in America. I've never seen it in Europe of Asia.

I know. No doubt 99.9% of those birds will land with no problems at all. But...what i'm saying is (well for me anyhow) the thought is always there.

    Its not just you!!

Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing

You are too cool! But I reckon you treat it the same way I treat getting into my car. I will always hate it though! But RYR432 is off France and on her way!

Erm.....Safe??? Tell that to the 300 odd souls who just had a interesting landing at SFO! http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2013/07/06/plane-crash-at-sfo/

How many other people landed safely at SFO today? And at all other K*** airports?

You have control over those eijits on the road that pull out in front of you without looking where they're going or reverse out of their drives without watching the road first? Please, tell me your secret!

I Don't have control over them but I have control to try my best to do something when they do, I fear being helpless if something was to happen on board.

Pilots must have lied to ATC then. They said medical emergency for a 79 year old female with angina and requested an ambulance.

The morning emergency was call sign 'Cactus 725' I think, emergency which returned to Dublin with the medical issue on board.
