Is there a big issue at Ulster Bank?

So I was in my local Ulster Bank the other day doing my weekly banking. I overheard 2 of the staff saying the Australian Government just put a restriction on them. Then when I was talking to one of the cashiers I was talking with her about jobs and I said to her well at least you have a secure job. She said she didnt think so. Which makes me think now is there a big issue at Ulster Bank?

RBS was bailed out by the British goverenment. I think the Irish side cost around 10 billion so they will be making cutbacks her.

There main concern are the banks in the UK and not little old Ireland. No ones job is safe here i'd imagine.

Well i knew about the job cuts and branch closures. Another branch was just merged with my branch and the other one shut. But its odd the Oz government putting a restriction on them.

Seriously: see the charter/sticky about speculative threads. You heard a snippet of a conversation, between two staff members in one branch, out of context and you jump to "big issue" and post it on boards?

For someone who's been here quite a while, I'd expect more.
