I have a large garden, most of it not landscaped yet, high grass, weeds, briars.

Thinking of getting a petrol strimmer. I'm new to this, would I be right in going for a 28cc or 35cc for a large domestic site ?

Looking at Tanaka, Stihl, Husqvarna, Active, anybody got any comments on these ?

    Anybody got a Draper ?

Anybody tried the new Husqvarna 36v battery one ?

Lidl have one at the moment.

Florabest petrol powered brush cutter....129 euro.....straight shaft with interchangable tripple head cutting system.

Dont know how good or bad it is...but it has a 3 year warranty.

Go for a 35cc and look at my other post on strimmers for more detail.

    Hope this helps.

Have a Jonsered ride on, VERY happy with it, have it 3 years now and never a problem.

The Jonsered looks a bit better than Tanaka, online anyway.

I also saw Echo, but more expensive than the Jonsered and Tanaka.

I also saw a 4 stroke Honda, do these have timing belts ?
