hi guys i'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas on what games you could play on a second monitor while working?

i guess it would have to be some kind of turn based game as it would still allow you work when needed.

Careful, I'm pretty sure the OP wants to keep his second monitor intact!

Civ & xcom are both great choices.

    Could also try:

    Monkey Island

    Galactic Civ 2

    Empire: Total War

    Sim City

Not sure about turn based but I used to have an angband bot as my screen saver. Had to get rid of it since it became kind of distracting watching that little guy make his way through the dungeon.
