Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Niall can you please explain to us why in 2013 Setanta isn't still offered in HD to us on sky? ... please don't give us the "plans are in place but no date"... can you give us the real reason, is it financial, a special agreement with UPC or what?

Wow, when you look at it that way, you can understand why RTE didn't renew the Premiership program.

I hope you all at Setanta understand how annoying it is to pay €19.99 for a subscription suite of channels and only 3/5 (which are run by BT, not Setanta) are in HD and our own Irish channel isn't, even though UPC has it... It will be hard to justify subscribing when we are being let down by this and no explanation is forthcoming or has been for the past few years.

This is going to sound like a stupid question I know but I hadn't a clue that Boards had a Setanta Rep or what the story is with subscriptions this year.

So this is for the Setanta Rep, I have the Sky Sports package with a Sky box, ESPN came free with that. With BT taking over most of ESPN's programmes (including Premier League and UFC I think?) if I were to get the Setanta package, would I be getting Setanta Ireland, Setanta Sports 1 and the BT Sport channels? Do you know who will have the rights to show UFC once ESPN is gone? And is it paid monthly or in one lump sum per year? Thanks in advance.

ESPN will be around until the FA Cup rights and Europa League rights are up for tender again. BT Sport bought UFC. ESPN channel will be used for FA Cup, Europa League and American Sports.

Just with the Setanta package in Ireland, does that now come with BT Sport?

Yes, from August 1st the Setanta Pack will include Setanta Ireland, Premier Sports (currently Setanta Sports 1), BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and ESPN.

ESPN will only be available to Republic of Ireland customers through the Setanta Pack.

I can't answer the first part of your question but I do know that BT Sport have a three-year partnership with the UFC.

    Hope this helps,

    Niall

Ye that helps a lot, I just wasn't sure how BT was being rolled out in Ireland but that sounds like an excellent package. Thanks a lot.

I've got Setanta already will it just carry over now and add BT + ESPN now or do I have to ring Setanta to update my contract.

No need to update your contract. From August 1st BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and ESPN will be added to the Setanta Pack. You should receive a letter from us in the next days informing you of these changes.

    Thanks,

    Niall

I'm with UPC and on whatever package gets me SkySports1/2/3/4, SetantaIRL and the ESPN stations. (But not Setanta 1).

Any one confirm what will be on that particular package from now on?
