    Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a good kennel or home minding situation where we could leave our male 10 month dog for a few nights around dublin?

He has not been neutered, only from reading on here I have realised that a lot of kennels require dogs to be neutered.

    Thanks

I left my non-neutered GSD in with Wendon Kennels in Rathfarnham a few weeks ago, he was happy as Larry there and there was no issue with him being intact.

I would imagine very few kennels would have a policy that the male dogs must be neutered, that's a lot of customers to be excluding! But....there are a fair few that won't take bitches in heat for obvious reasons.

Small private boarding would be a different scenario, where the dogs are allowed socialise together, issues may arrise with testosterone fuelled aggression or if there was a tie with a bitch in heat.

    Hi,

We have left our 11mth old male unneutered puppy at both Glencullen Dog Kennels (Glencullen) and Deerfiled Kennels (Rathfarnham) My dog loved both kennels home happy and healthy. Would use both kennels again :D

I don't think it should be a problem as the dog is still really a pup. I use Yuppy Puppie in Bray, it is not a kennels and is very good. Molly is always excited to go back.
    You can always ask
