Cost of light, heat and electricity for an office

Hi All,

Any guidance appreciated. Would anyone know, ball park what the light, heat and electricity bills would be per month for a 700 sq ft office with six people in it doing admin?

There are far too many unstated variables to make a data based calculation, so just budget 4-500 Euro per month. Might be a bit on the high side but hey an overhead addback after 12 months is always nice!!

700sq ft - saying following

10 x 600x600 flourescents @ 100 watt each (4x25watt tubes) = 1000 watts + circa 20c per hour

9 hours = 1.80 - so round to 2.00 for lighting.

6 x pc's prob similar to lights - 2.00 per day .

fridge and other stuff - allow 2.00 per day

heating - probaly need 2 x 2000 watt heaters - but only for about 5 months of year, 1 x 2000 w heater for 3 months and nonefor 4 months,
Average our at 2200watts per hour per average day at fll balst, but won;t be on full blast all the time, so lets guess at 60% and put for 10,000 watts per day - 2.00 again.

total 40.00 per week / 160 per month. To be very safe, 200.00 per month will be the absolute maximum.


Example above of 400-500 is way off the mark - I have a 5400sq ft retail store with high density retail lighting (24 x 70w halides + flouresecents + downlights, on 7days a week from 9.30am to 7pm) 3 x 4000sq ft heaters, tills and computers, and bill rarely goes above 600 per month including vat.
