    I think it's great tonight.

That was absolutely hilarious tonight. I thought it was getting a bit stale in the last series but this week and last week were hilarious.

Roisins dimness was priceless and Jimmys routines were excellent.

The one thing I have noticed is Susie Dent seems to be getting more and more uncomfortable. Rachel Riley always seems to be up for Jimmys banter but she seemed very 'stiff' tonight.

Susie Dent with the burn of the season!

Asked about what she thought she was going to be when she grew up "I thought I'd be working with the best comedians in the country but that hasn't happened yet." :pac:

That was class. Even if it was set-up she delivered it very well.

I would love to have that Panini book. Holy crap it is glorious.

That was probably my favourite 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown to date... I enjoy the more banter, less gameplay direction it has taken... It's good to have the few games in there, but the comedy comes from the pisstaking.

    Arse like a trampoline :D

Yeah I think they used to go straight into the gameplay but now pretty much the first 20 minutes is banter which is hilarious.

I think the dirty anagrams are hilarious as well. 'oilybint', the queen is an example, had me in convulsions for about ten minutes.

I also love how Jon looks for the most obscure way to do the numbers round. He almost always starts with a division.

He's big into the winning tactic of adding onto the big numbers before multiplying.

Obviously taking a few leaves out of Rachel's book. Was delighted that Jon actually had a 9 letter word too.

That segement is really starting to grate on me, Joe Wilkinson is not funny - the only reason his character worked in Him & Her was because he played his cringey self.

I fast forward through his bit.

Anyone help me with this, it's from this epissode

Rachael quips during Joe's segment "Wondering how Sean came up with his safe bondage word". Went straight over my heard.

Will they ever do the regular 8 out of 10 Cats again? I much prefer that.

I love Rob Delaney. His royal baby tweets were hilarious.

Alright show but the horrendously unfunny Nina Conti was piss poor

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,054 ✭✭✭✭Basq

Love Rob Delaney but he was wasted!

Also think Paul Foot is excellent.. bizarre but hilarious. Wish they'd do a full show with him.

From a quick glance on Wikipedia and next Sunday night's TV schedule, looks like it was a once off.

It's back again Friday the 15th and then staying on Fridays... Think it was only on Sunday this time around because it was a bank holiday and there'll be election coverage this coming Friday...

Dictionary corner was poor this past episode.

Watching Nina Conti was like watching a child doing a puppet show. She didn't say anything funny.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,054 ✭✭✭✭Basq

The popularity of Nina Conti always baffles me to be honest..

.. along with fellow ventiloquist "comic" Jeff Dunham.

He's on his honeymoon. As far as I know, these episodes were all filmed back to back alongside the last season in which he was absent for the final episode... Hopefully he may be back next week, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was missing for another episode or two.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,537 ✭✭✭KKkitty

Show wasn't the same without him and Nina Conti wasn't very funny.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,397 ✭✭✭✭FreudianSlippers

Nina Conti is cringeworthy at the best of times, but that was just awful.

At least her granny puppet didn't make an appearance. That's something at least. However that mouth thing she had isn't very funny and when you are awful at doing voices it is a lot worse.

Enjoyed it last night. Joe Lycett is great.

Good show last night, never been a follower of Kevin Bridges but found him very funny last night. Same for Joe Lycett.

Good mix of guests last night. And Suzie was looking very well.

Enjoyable song from Nick Helm but he very quickly became tired and boring. We have seen similar from Joe Wilkinson previously. It was a good show overall.

His attempt at Chris Eubank impressions was hilarious...

Best thing on 8 out 10 for a long time

I haven't watched this in ages but an episode with Greg Davies? I'll certainly be hunting that down!

He did a couple of episodes of Would I Lie To You and he was fantastic.

He is listed as being on Series 9 of WILTY. :)
