Never heard of him, but reading up on his team, AS Béziers, they were fecking phenomenal! Winning 10 French Championships (Top14 now) titles in 15 years, as well as being a runner up during that period and winning two challange cups and one French cup... they were the most successful team in French rugby history by the mid-80's and have only been overtaken by Toulouse and Stade Francais since then (they won almost all of their titles in their history during that period, except for a small period of success in the 60's with one French Championship and one challange cup).

They were in Pro D2 last season for the first time since their demise and finished second from bottom (automatic relegation) but stayed up as Bourgoin were relegated instead due to financial collapse.

Sounds like the perfect team with loads of history for the next French Billionaire to get his mits on and buy the Top14 and European Cup! :pac:

Also, Russian Roulette is possibly one of the most retarded ways to die imaginable.

Playing with the pistol having thought they emptied it apparently. Tragic.

I think that article says witness saw him loading the bullet into the gun? The copious wine was probably the culprit. Yes, still very tragic.

In the photo accompanying the article, he looks like Obélix as portrayed by Gérard Depardieu in the movies.
