    I got 145Mbps with UPC's Technicolor modem, which isn't really that good.You shouldn't have any issues.

    Yep. Wide channel and 300Mbps wireless adapter. :)

    You may get that, but that's no guarantee the OP will. You may be lucky and live in an area where there are few competing networks. Also many routers will not do 40MHz wide channel (even if they're configured for it) if they detect adjacent networks and fall back to 20MHz mode.
