Tex Murphy: Tesla Effect

I can't imagine there's that much of a following here for these games, but I loved them and was ecstatic to hear that they were making a new one.

It's Kickstarter pulled in a respectable $598,104 and they've released the first trailer for it:

There's not a whole lot to get from this other than the expected dodgy greenscreen and dodgier ham acting, which Tex fans know and love. No real indication of it being a comedy, though (but I'm going to trust them on that).

Anyone else excited or even mildly curious as to why someone would make a 90's style FMV game?

Played the Tex Murphy adventures with my Dad and brother when I was a kid. Great games! I really do miss traditional adventure games (I know there is TellTale and while I love The Walking Dead, it is not a true representation of classic adventures like Day of the Tentacle) and I am glad to see this being developed. I backed it during the Kickstarter campaign last year, hopefully we will get a release date soon!

Jane Jensen (creator of the Gabriel Knight series) is currently developing an adventure called Moebius and an 'unannounced project', which I secretly hope is GK4.

Ha, I was hoping the same thing. The fact that she's keeping it secret makes me want to assume it HAS to be GK4!
