But what if they were the exact same? :P

In that case, I was supposed to change an oil switch on my 9-5

I woke up with a massive bruise on my right hand...no idea how it got there but it hurts like hell to even move it so no switch today!

There you go mate. Was 13 euro or so delivered. Cheap and cheerful. Don't want to be forking out 20 a pop from Bosch.

Well, i paid 40 quid in motorfactors, and found them really good, now i have for 3 months without any problems.

Would love to know, how long will serve yours from ebay, if they will be good as mine from motorfactors, i will be buying from ebay next time.

Actually dealers had not bad price while ago , when i was looking for my ex-wifes car wipers (27 ?? ish flat wipers for polo 2010 ) ... cant remember what make was.

Good while ago i bought those flat wipers for cheap from ebay, but i throw them away after couple months tbh.

I'm surprised you have that plate holder with the OCD going on :pac:

It really looks out of place

your face looks out of place!!

It doesn't look out of place to me as I've had similar since my first car.

Not for that reason... just look at the lines of the boot, the holder just disrupts it imo.

I don't be looking at it too often while driving so it doesn't bother me in the slightest :pac:

You don't look at the rear lights when driving either... maybe should take those out too. :pac:

Custom radio/speakers loom made today in order to keep the OEM headunit but fit an aftermarket amplifier. Plug and play. Nothing to cut. Especially useful for cars with no amplifier from factory.

Today I came back from Pairc Ui Chaoimh and had to move the fathers car. The engine sounded loud and was making a knocking noise. I pulled out the dipstick. It was dry. Put in an L of oil and it was still dry. Took about two and a bit Ls. It is still fierce loud. I think he made **** of it. Also noticed that it was well below the minimum on the power steering fluid reservoir.

When eventually there was oil on the dipstick I ran the car for a minute or two and came back. I found the oil on the dipstick jet black and sludgy.

I dont think this car will be going for much longer so an eye will have to be kept on bangernomics for an alternative for him.

Also changed the pollen filter in my car before I left for cork.

Sold - BOOM :) Chap called yesterday morning and drove all the way from Castlebar  He owned one before from new so nostalgia had him, I sold it a little less than I originally intended but not by much (he got me because it needed new tyres all round) but still have a nice budget for a new car today, a few lined up :D

    Better than black, surely.

    aah no

Ah heyor, gloss black or nothin. That looks completely wrong for the car :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,925 ✭✭✭GvidoR

I'd prefer alloys, but that's out of the question for obvious reasons.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,331 ✭✭✭toyotaavensis

Most important thing is do you like the wheels?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,925 ✭✭✭GvidoR

I think the steelies look better in any colour other than black. Since I've done only one so far, I'll see how a painted wheel cap looks before I do the other ones.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,917 ✭✭✭✭Toyotafanboi

i think it's a nice colour contrast. as always, if you like it go with it.

they will be a bitch to keep clean though. you've just taken the one part of your car that gets sprayed with black dust every time you brake and painted it white.

also realistically it isn't a very "in fashion" look, unless the car is decked and they are flush with the arches. even then it's questionable i think.

there's a lot to be said for never taking a rattle can to a car. i just don't even buy them. it's never ending well. there is no justifiable reason a man should ever really take a rattle can to a car.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,331 ✭✭✭toyotaavensis

if you like it thats all that matters

I've used rattle cans on 5 of my cars, hahah.

One of them was painted from top to bottom using rattle cans. :P
