Not with the lip on the arch man, that's where it would be if it were oem.
You can kind of make out the inner lip in the third shot.

    I ain't rolling arches :D

Also I think that 20mm is a safe max with spacers! Maybe 30mm at a push, but 50??

Ah plastic arches would really set the car off from other standard faff

Hoovered and polished inside, washed and waxed and left in the shade. Great weather today!

Got those aero wipers today, needed to modify them a little bit to make them fit though.

Those flat blades look much better I think.

I think the piece you cut a hole in lifts up so the wiper blade can slot on. I dont think the modification was needed.

    Still looks well though.

That's exactly how I installed them. These were not Bosch, I got them for €10 from eBay including delivery. The plastic cover is flimsy and it wouldn't close properly so that's why I needed to cut a small piece off.

AAh that makes sense. I thought you had done something mad.

Presume I'll get my wipers tomorrow since we ordered the same time. Looks well :)

Had a weird feeling today and decided to try reschedule my September NCT and managed to get one for 8:15 tomorrow morning! Que the panic of making sure everything was right (Which it was) bar the headlight alignment.

COMPLETELY off and not very well functioning adjusters. Que some googling and some online tips and I seem to have it 95 percent there.

Hopefully it fails on nothing major and also nothing silly!

Edit: Oh ya, the passenger fog is broken so I just taped over the two of them with duct tape :P

Ewwww... No. Plus, the difference "aero" wipers make just in pure water shifting is well worth the investment.

Nah I don't think those aero blades look well at all on most older cars. They don't look bad on some older vw's such as the mk4 golf mind. On older jap cars however they don't look well at all imo

    Bora = MK4 Jetta

So yeah... and Vento = MK3 Jetta

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,331 ✭✭✭toyotaavensis

It was called the jetta, then the vento before the bora and the jetta again afterwards

In some countries, such as USA, it's always been Jetta.

I don't call it a MK4 Bora, I never have. That doesn't change the fact that it is MK4 though.
