I'd be more concerned about removing an airbag tbh. But then I own a 1979 Fiat with little in the way of safety features, so I shouldn't really comment!:pac:

Surely those discs need changing on the Astra GvidoR...some serious corrosion on them. Even if the surface didn't have a lip on them, I'd be replacing anyway.

(Although, I'm not sure what the plans are for the car, or if you're selling etc)

Yeah, I'm aware the discs aren't in a very good condition, but yeah, the plan is to sell the car.

Got rid of the mud and snow nonsense that came on the car and stuck on proper tyres. Difference is like night and day. Finally able to take it for a decent spin now!

So some bits of interior trim are looking a bit scruffy.
I'm going to probably paint them eventually but I decided to go the felt spec route and cover them in carbon fibre.

First up the gear selector cover. You can see the worn colouring on the top right.



And finished... It's not as easy as I thought it'd be


Next up are the trims for the electric windows!

Agree. Looks well. It would something like require neon blue footwell lighting too start getting felty! One or two bits of carbon fibre look nice in the interior, just once it's not everywhere.

Changed the oil and filter on the avensis had a look at the air and pollen filters and gave her a quick check underneath

Cleaned the MAF and checked all air intake seals and joints. Added a bottle of STP injector cleaner then drove it about 325 miles on just over a half tank of juice with the OBC showing 44MPG. E46 318Ci. (No, I don't believe it either!!)

Just a few before and afters of my new fitted mats. Fit perfect. Car was a state before I hoovered it out. Will get the fixations for the drivers mat in the coming days. Makes a nice change to standard fitting mats. Drivers mat was properly goosed.

Back in the 740 after 9 DAYS off the road, it killed me! Stuck between using a Fiesta and push bike, not a pleasant experience.

Fuel pump was dead, i'll not even say how much it cost as i'll be paying it off for a decade. At least I saved on labour.

2014 BMW F30 3 series iDrive NBT retrofit in BMW e39

95% done, need to tidy up the trims a bit

Fully functional with CAN messages translated to iBus and the other way around so steering wheel buttons are functional, can set up date/time from radio. Speed signal picked up from DSC module so GPS works too.

Removed the rear lights from the Vento...



...and sold them for 50 big ones, to some VW mad guy who will rust the bonnet and boot on his 1997 Vento and bring it to a car show later this month in Limerick



Anyone else wants some Vento parts? :P
