Engraving Machine

    Have an idea but need to go and buy an engraving machine so I said I'd ask here in case someone has experience. I want a machine for engraving those metal plaques that go on trophies, etc. About 65 x 20mm for example.
    Any ideas where to buy and how much they cost.
    Any tips greatly appreciated.

    Hi
    There's 2 types of machine

    1. Pantograph manual machine
    2. Computerised diamond drag or laser machine

    Really depends on what you want to engrave on the trophy plates, and the number of plates to be engraved, as to which is the more suitable machine.

    Pantograph will do text engraving, font depends on what copyset you are using
    Computerised will do logos etc and any font you have on your PC.

    Machines are fairly expensive, have you thought about subcontracting this part of your product/process out to a third party?
