    The IFI Junior National Pike Championships are run by the Irish Federation of Pike Angling Clubs and consist of around 10 qualifying competitions and a Final. It is open to all youngsters who were under 18 on the 1st January last. Entry is free and open to all. There are 2 sections under 13 and under 18. At a qualifier all a youngster has to do is catch a pike of any size and they qualify to fish in the Final. At each qualifier there are trophies for the top 3 anglers in each section. Weather permitting, there are often free bar b qs after qualifiers and the Final.
    In the Final there is a Perpetual Cup in each section and around €1,500 worth of tackle prizes to be presented. Everyone in the Final who dosent get a prize gets a medallion. The Final will be held in the Cavan/Monaghan area on Saturday 7th September.

    July 20 Drogheda and District Anglers Club will host a qualifier at a venue to be decided
    July 21 North Longford to hold a Junior qualifier on Gortnamore lake
