    Who has cheapest 2mb wireless system . Not a dongle as coverage is poor on all suppliers . I don't want to pay for landline. Some type of satellite would be best, any ideas?

    http://www1.meteor.ie/mobilebroadband/billpay/ will give you 20GB for 25euro or 20euro - not a huge amount of data

    You can put the 3g dongle up on the roof etc :

    http://www.vodafone.ie/home-phone-broadband/ if you have a phoneline 37euro for unlimited

    ( i think line-rental is free with them )
    Meteor 3g :

    $ ping boards.ie
    Pinging boards.ie [89.234.66.107] with 32 bytes of data:

    Landline
    :~# ping boards.ie

    satellite should be your last choice, it usually has same tiny allowance as mobile operators but it have much higher latency and both equipment and monthly charge are usually much higher

    poor coverage of mobile broadband can usually be resolved with proper fixed unidirectional antenna pointed at your nearest bts instead of tiny omnidirectional thing dongle has built in

    if this is a remote location where is no chance of upc or adsl another option is wimax, while i can't say a single good work of imagine tech support it is pretty decent connection when it is working (which is most of the time)

    Vodafone Max is €32 a month with unlimited downloads.I was on Simply and got changed over recently,saving me a few quid in the process.Price include vat etc.

    Check the broadband forum to see what else might suit.Imo dongles are a dose and wouldn't touch them myself.
