Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Denise O'Sullivan started tonight for Glasgow City in the Champions League Group Stage in Holland against Croatian champions Osijek, we're currently 5-0 up at half time

It's the same as the men's game, but with women playing
    Raheny got beaten 3-2, unfortunately.

Ireland U17's won their second game 1-0 today against Turkey. Megan Connolly with the goal, again! She has 13 in 12 for her country now...

We ended up winning 7-0, great result. Next up is Malta champions Birkikara then a big test against Dutch champions FC Twente

Glasgow City confirm their place in the last 32 with the big guns, we've just beaten FC Twente 2-0 in front of 2750 people at their home stadium.

Well, Hope Powell stepped down as England manager today!

Rephrase: Hope Powell has been sacked by the FA.

Who do you reckon can get that job then?

Would it be seen as a big job by those managing in the women's game? Or is it like men's u-21 where someone employed can be there for quite some time regardless of how they do?

Think the profile is definitely going up, BBC putting a lot more time into the women's game generally and particularly the England team. Would imagine there might be a few managers out of work in the men's game looking at it as a good opportunity.

    I don't care
Also be interesting to see where HP goes next.
Is it possible that a Conference or Isthmian team could take a punt?

Just got back from Glasgow City beating Standard Liege 3-1 (5-3 agg), to see up a last 16 Champions League tie with Arsenal. Irish girl Denise O'Sullivan scored a peach in the first half, its already been shown on Sky Sports so should be repeated this hour.

Absolutely soaked and freezing, but well worth it

Do they stand any chance at all against Arsenal?

If we can get any sort of close result in London in the first leg, we'll make it hard for them up here and anything can happen. An away goal down there would be good.

Arsenal beat us comfortably pre-season, but we've strengthened alot since then with O'Sullivan, Jules Nelson and Welsh captain Jess Fishlock coming in on loan from Seattle Reign, as well as important players back from injury that missed that friendly. Looking forward to it.

Goals from our champions league game on thursday, Denise's goal (2nd) and the third from Sarah Crilly are fantastic.
