Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Is there any online facility that one can find out whether a medication is a prescription drug ?

    I think what you are looking for is;

    http://www.imb.ie/EN/Medicines/HumanMedicines/HumanMedicinesListing.aspx

    The Irish Medicine Board are the regulatory body in relation to prescribed drugs.

    Regarding other EU countries, in general yes but borderline ones (painkillers being a good example) are treated differently.

    Thanks for the link and information.

    If no products that match the substance searched is the product therefore lawfully obtainable as a nonprescription product ?

    No is the simple answer.

    That database contains all medicinal products licensed in the state.

    It gives the manner it which it can be obtained eg whether by prescription or over the counter.
