Hi everybody, any suggestion for a cool classy place to have a 50th birthday party for about 40 people, dont want to pay a venue fee but dont mind having nice food, full bar, dj/band and because it will be summer somewhere bright with windows and views. thanks a mil.

You're not going to get everything on your list.

Where in Dublin for a start, north/south/west?

How much per head are you prepared to pay for food?

    What's your entertainment budget like?

It's unlikely you'll find somewhere "classy" with no fee. Generally they have a fee for two reasons: 1) make money, 2) keep the riff raff out.

Well wouldnt like to go over say 25 euros per head, south city centre, southside, D4 those kind of places.

The Martello Bistro in Sandycove has excellent food, views & location. (menupages link)

There's also the likes of the 40 foot in Dun Laoghaire. (menupages link)

Really, you're looking at a bar/lower end restaurant & supplying your own entertainment.

For €25 a head, there's not a whole lot going to be classy.

If you could up the budget slightly, there's a restaurant in Rathfarnham over the Yellow House which is one of the classiest looking places I've ever seen - Morilles Bistro. But not much in the way of views & no parking. (menupages link)
